Collection: Les Eaux Primordiales

Les Eaux Primordials, a word taken from Jules Verne's "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea," refers to the first signs of life on Earth. Expecting a reunion that would blend know-how, creativity, and genuineness, Arnaud Poulain instinctively returned to his own region, close to Arras in northern France, to found La Manufacture de parfums.

The entire process, from designing the fragrance in collaboration with Amélie Bourgeois to bottling, takes place at La Manufacture. The industrial legacy of Northern France, as well as science and art in all its forms, inspired the design of Les Eaux Primordiales, especially the photographic work of Bernd and Hilla Becher, a couple from Germany.

Journey

Les Eaux Primordiales, also known as The Primordial Waters, is a French niche perfume brand that builds upon the principles of the classic 'Great Perfumery'. What sets them apart is their unique approach to reinventing modern classics, a concept that is at the heart of their fragrance creation process.

Established by Arnaud Poulain, a youthful perfumer with experience in the niche market (Cinquième Sens—Différentes Latitudes), and in association with Amélie Bourgeois, co-founder of Flair Paris, the company's goal is to provide elegant, cutting-edge scents that reinvent modern classics by utilising and repurposing occasionally overlooked olfactory families.
